Associate in Applied Science

Diagnostic medical sonographers are highly skilled health care professionals who assist physicians in collecting patient data in order to reach diagnostic decisions. Sonographers use specialized equipment to perform sonographic examinations and create images of areas inside the body.

How Do I Get Into the Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Program?

Diagnostic Medical Sonography is a rewarding and challenging career that requires a strong background in science and a passion for helping others.

  2. Submit health science application.
  3. Apply for financial aid (FAFSA).
  4. Apply for ICC Scholarships. Just 1 application for over 700 scholarships.
  5. To pursue this career, you must enjoy math and science, be a caring, compassionate person, be very precise about your work, with well-developed hand-eye coordination.
  6. Upon acceptance to the program, applicants will have to complete a drug screen, fingerprint criminal background check, physical exam, and immunizations.
