The Environmental Science program at ICC prepares you for a wide range of careers. More than traditional lab careers that engage in environmental testing, professional careers exist within governmental agencies, such as the EPA, planning departments, geological and natural history surveys; National Park Service; soil and water conservation districts; and, much more.

How Do I Get Into the Environmental Sciences Program?
You’ll develop a greater understanding and appreciation for the environment and the biodiversity found within it. You’ll also learn about many “hot-topic” issues of our time, such as climate change, GMOs, pollution, and many more. Laboratory exercises include a nature hike along with water and soil testing on our campus.

What Can I Expect as an Environmental Sciences Student?
- Many of our Environmental Sciences students transfer to ISU, Bradley, U of I and SIU. Start planning your transfer as soon as you start at ICC. You’ll take the right courses and finish faster.
