Associate in Arts (Transfer)

Social workers have become even more valuable as communities struggle with issues of poverty, addiction, and social strife. As a social worker you will help individuals, groups, and families prevent and cope with problems in their everyday lives.

This program provides students with the academic foundation to transfer to a four-year college or university to complete the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree.

The Social Work program uses general education, psychology, sociology, and social work courses to prepare students for further studies to become a Social Worker.

Get Involved

In the Leadership and Community Service course students will examine the impact of responses to issues while performing community service.

How Do I Get Into the Social Work Program?

You have compassion for the underserved in your community, and you want to do more. Talk to an Admissions representative to learn how to get started on your path to become a Social Worker.

  3. Apply for ICC Scholarships. Just 1 application for over 600 scholarships.
  4. You will save considerably by earning an Associate in Arts at ICC and then transferring to a four-year college or university Social Work program.
