Brooke Poling, Director of Counseling Services
Hi everyone, I’m Brooke, the Director of Counseling Services!
I enjoy working directly with students, overseeing the peer support program, and planning events and outreach programs. You can find me around campus at various events! I love the many opportunities ICC offers to students of all backgrounds.
I graduated from Bradley University with my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2020. Since then, I have worked in a youth residential facility, in a private practice setting, and now at ICC.
My counseling approach is rooted in the belief that we can all grow and improve and that each person has their own internal resources – they just might not be able to see them right now! I utilize solution-focused, person-centered, and cognitive behavioral techniques in sessions. I also think laughter is super important in counseling!
In my spare time, I enjoy going for walks, listening to audiobooks, hanging out with my two cats, and spending time with friends and family. I also teach fitness classes at a local studio!

Olivia Massey, Counselor
Hello! My name is Olivia, and I am a counselor at the Peoria campus for ICC.
I earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health in 2023 from Bradley University. My work for Counseling Services began in Fall 2022, when I served as the counseling intern before transitioning to a full-time position as a counselor.
I work one-on-one with students, facilitate presentations for students and staff, and teach sections of ICC 111: Career Choice.
In counseling sessions, I prefer to use a variety of modals, from cognitive behavioral to solution-focused, and many more. I create a welcoming environment where my clients can feel safe and understood. I believe everyone deserves a space to acknowledge their life experiences and begin a discussion on change.
Outside of being a counselor, I love indulging in the nerdy parts of life like videogames, movies, and books. I have three cats that mean the world to me and am always looking to try new restaurants!

Katelyn Murphy, Outreach Counselor
Hi everyone! I’m Katelyn, the Outreach Counselor for the counseling department here at ICC.
I’m responsible for organizing and planning programming events to support student well-being in mental and physical health. I also provide individual counseling sessions to help students navigate their academic and personal challenges.
I graduated with my Master’s in Social Work from St. Ambrose University in 2023, and my background includes valuable experience working in both the hospital setting and, in a community, mental health clinic. These diverse experiences have equipped me with a broad perspective on student needs and how to support in different ways.
I’ve used various therapy approaches in my previous work experience, but my favorite is person-centered. This means I focus on what matters most to you and work together to help you reach your goals. I believe you have the insight and potential to guide your own path, and my role is to support and guide you in discovering your strengths and finding solutions that work for you. Whether you’re navigating academic stress, personal challenges, or anything in between, I’m here to listen and help you make meaningful progress in a way that feels right for you.
Outside of my role at ICC, I love spending time outdoors. You’ll often find me gardening, disc golfing, or simply enjoying nature with my dogs by my side. I find that these activities help me stay grounded and refreshed.
I look forward to getting to know you and supporting you during your time at ICC. If you need anything or just want to chat, don’t hesitate to stop by—I’m here to help and excited to be part of your journey!

Blake Muehlich, Counselor
Hello friends! My name is Blake and I’m one of the counselors you can sign up with here at ICC.
I’ve been seeing clients in private practice and community health for 4 years and absolutely love what I do. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois. I got my bachelor’s of Psychology at Bradley University in 2014 and my Master’s in Counseling at Dallas Theological Seminary in 2021.
I am passionate about helping others find meaning, purpose, and joy amid the suffering life often brings. I love higher education and working with college students because it is a formative and significant part of a person’s life.
In my free time, I enjoy writing poetry, reading fiction, playing the guitar, spending time with friends/family, and video games. I was diagnosed with ADHD at a young age and, therefore, take on a lot of hobbies and interests. However, I also had to navigate difficulties with motivation and organization, as I know many college students do, and I would love to take what I’ve learned to help other ADHD’ers succeed. I look forward to meeting you!

Hannah Queen, Counseling Intern
Hi! My name is Hannah Queen and I am joining the ICC Counseling team this year as the Counseling Intern.
I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Southern Illinois University in 2020 and am currently finishing my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling through Bradley University. I will be here at ICC until I graduate this coming May and am so excited to be a part of the counseling team until then!
In my counseling, I utilize a person-centered approach that focuses on an individual’s strengths and supports them by offering an inclusive, welcoming space to work through life’s challenges. I believe that you know your own life and goals better than anyone and that counseling can be a great resource to support you in building a toolset of skills to achieve those goals.
In my personal life, I love being outside in nature, creating art, and playing with my two kitties 🙂 I can very often be found watching anime, cooking, or reading.
