Certificate

This certificate prepares students for entry-level work as a Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) technician. Students will build on the HVAC Residential Installer certificate and increase their employment opportunities.

Through lectures and hands-on lab experiences students will develop the knowledge and skills in the maintenance and repair of air conditioning systems as well as a variety of heating systems to include, natural gas, propane, electric, air source heat pumps, geothermal, and hydronic heating systems. 

A Quality Education

This is one of three certificates that can be completed as students work toward an HVAC/R Associate in Applied Science degree.

Students can get involved in the ICC chapter of SkillsUSA which helps students become world-class workers, leaders and responsible citizens.

How Do I Get Into the HVAC Technician Program?

The growing number of sophisticated climate-control systems is expected to increase the demand for qualified HVAC professionals. Talk to an Admissions representative to learn how to get started.

  1. Complete our quick admissions application. It’s free and easy!
  2. Apply for financial aid (FAFSA).
  3. Apply for ICC Scholarships. Just 1 application for over 600 scholarships.
  4. Applicants must have first completed the HVAC Residential Installer Certificate.
  5. High school courses in math, welding, blueprint reading, and computer-aided drafting are helpful for this program.
